Scott Hires

support underground arts

Atlanta 2004, the year of the all star weekend, I was attending AIU and Scotty was working as security at the front desk. A conversation with a mutual friend brought our minds together. Scott is one of the few people that can hold a lengthy debate without "arguing". I told him about my music and he listened. He told me about his music and I reciprocated. From then on I would never enter the building without "building" for a few minutes. Scotty was the first person to ever see, he was the first person to hear my freestyle "Verbal rabidity", produced by Charlie mac, and one of the first people to record in my studio with joe cox in Alpharetta. He is the only person I trusted not to sign a contract. (for breaking equipment etc.) And certainly one of the few male counterparts I look up to and trust. This very day he is one of my only LOYAL friends and a musical mentor... Well that was where our journey began, follow this blog to see where it will go...

Musical Collaborations

In 2004 I listened to one of Scottys album tracks entitled "Get the Job DONE" the asian influenced sound had me speechless. I demanded to be on the remix and went bolistic on the beat. After I layed my track down I thought it was too much. But Scotty and Alisha (his wifee) approved. The freestyle came off the tip of my tounge due to frustration with people who were slowing me down in life. I felt like I was the king of gettin the job done; from living on the streets to working two jobs, and enrolling in school, and starting my own recording studio with no help from family or friends... I just went IN>. And that freestyle till this day is the realest I've ever spoken.
