This is one of my favorite pictures I found online of Kayla
keep it real, Nobody was watching Tanisha's
season , and before Kayla KC, you didnt know what the Bad girls club was. And it did not have a consistent plot as far as
"Demanding rule over the house" and "Running LA". Before kayla, it was just a bunch of boring bitches
...and some pots and some pans.
How Kayla Marie Carter set the formation of The Bad Girls
It's no coincident that every girl, that came after her season, became snobby
over drink prices, fond over flying objects and demanding "RULE" over the house (something they did not pursuit in seasons prior).
The Oxygen network, still growing at the time, had no competitive shows as far as ratings. Seemingly they spent alot of time
swaying the girls to re-create these classic "TURN-UPS", that reached so many viewers, which all began with Kayla
KC. In the aftermath of the Flava Flav show, arguably the most epic reunion
of reality history; Miss New York (the queen of reality television) made every network thirsty to host a live reunion
after their show, featuring the entire cast of a season, hashing out their issues. The Bad Girls club was still in it's embrio,
where nobody even remembered season one; My guess was that Tanisha Thomas was the "token black" from the hood, who
was strategically put in place to shake up season two, and everybody was confusing the franchise with the candid prank show
called "Girls behaving badly", which was on the same network, and ended up getting cancelled. The first
reunion they had, Tanisha Thomas faced off in a screaming match, with co star / arch nemesis Lyric James in the last 4 minutes
of a full season, where we only remembered "pots and pans".
But on the following season, things
took a turn for the "UP", when they casted KAYLA KC straight off of Central ave, and Washington. [Did anybody ever get a neighborhood intro BEFORE or AFTER that, besides
the victor twins driving from Boston to Vegas?. ] Not only did
she enter the house bossy and in control; She came all natural, with no position to play, or purpose to prove- except that
she would claim RULE over the house, (and may be nice enough to share it with the other black girl LOL ). But as much as the
network exposed her "tough side", she was just being "Kayla KC"; overly emphasizing that she was from
L.A. (Sound familiar?) . By the end of that season, Kayla KC had reinvented "The Bad Girls Club" house, with
her drink and dish throwing, quick tempered, antics, blowing hot air in peoples faces and showing up on the first ten
minutes of the reunion charging faces, "Cause I sure aint scared of BITCH from Compton Bitch", she condecended upon
a replacement castmate, who looked like the bootleg version of Tiffany Amber Theisen . No reunion would be the same after.
The show ended with Kayla going home; but for some reason they kept on filming
though LOL. The following season took a break from the west coast to go film in Miami, but
as soon as they returned to LA, they had a brand new cast and a brand new house. But everything from Kayla's season remained
the same. They had a girl who claimed she runs LA, a homophobic & racist, white girl- that wasn't really racist ?, because she might like black guys- and girls also LOL. And she even had the same name as the girl from the previous season who was kaylas frieneme/arch
nemesis. They re-inacted bar scenarios and friendship fall outs, fake lesbian, limo, lush, lusted affairs; and their was a
restless battle over who "RUNS" the house, and the reunion shows have been the same ever since. So yes, it is
quite safe to say Kayla inspired everything but the flying matress,... and
that was corny anyway.
"HOLD UP... CUZ I SHO'LL AINT SCARED OF NO bitch FROM WASHINGTON.... bitch!"
"Cuz I aint never No cheap ass BITCH"
"I'm a L.A. Bitch, I'm from LA... Im calling you
